BOWIE — In Allegany’s first appearance in the state title game since 2013, it was the underclassmen who delivered the biggest plays. A pair of freshmen in left fielder Kyran Freeman and designated hitter Liam Buck and sophomore catcher Justin Wakefield produced the most memorable highlights in the Campers’ 6-2 victory over St. Michaels (17-7) on Saturday at Prince George’s Stadium. Advertisement“I’m very proud of those freshmen,” Allegany manager Jon Irons said.

When Allegany scored its 20th run in the fourth inning without any outs, the Academy for College and Career Exploration (ACCE) forfeited the game. kAm%96 >6C4J CF=6 C6BF:C6D 82>6D E@ 4@>A=6E6 7:G6 :??:?8D[ 3FE E96 t28=6D We\e\aX 28C665 E@ 6?5 E96 82>6 62C=J :? CUMBERLAND — Allegany ace Jordyn Sneathen delivered one of her best performances of the season, leading the top-seeded Campers (16-3) over No. 2 Northern 5-0 in Thursday’s West Region I Final at Washington Middle School. “That’s probably our best overall game all year,” Allegany manager Dave Winner said. “The girls came prepared, Jordyn threw a great game. Defense played good, we could’ve scored more but I thought we hit the ball good. Just proud of our girls.
