Daniel Day-Lewis, widely regarded as one of the greatest actors of all-time, is coming out of retirement after eight years of big screen inactivity. The legendary actor is set to star in Focus Features and Plan B’s upcoming film “Anemone,” which, no coincidence, happens to be the directorial debut of his son, and known painter/artist, Ronan Day-Lewis. “Anemone” has now set up an October 3rd limited opening and an October 10th expansion.

Pardon me for being late to this one, but I was under the impression that all footage had been taken down. Clearly not. David Sandberg’s “Kung Fury” was an absolutely wild 2015 short film—a VFX-heavy homage to 1980s martial arts and cop action movies. It was met with acclaim and garnered close to 40 million views on YouTube. It was even selected to screen in the Directors’ Fortnight section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.
