When I rolled by the Stromm cycles booth, it wasn’t the Raktt that first caught my eye, it was their track bike. Then, as if appearing from nowhere (a display table in the middle of the booth), was the Raktt. Along with it was a placard and some wildly specific and transparent data about speed, aerodynamics, and design. We met with the folks from Stromm and got the lowdown on what looks to be a very appealing bike, especially for those with the need…the need for speed.

British footwear specialist QUOC is back with a sharp new addition to its growing road range, and they brought a little world firepower along for the ride. Co-developed with none other than Geraint Thomas, the M3 Pro is QUOC’s new flagship road shoe—and after many miles in them, I can safely say: this one’s a looker that backs it up with legit performance. First spotted back at Volta ao Algarve when G was spotted rocking an unfamiliar QUOC prototype—spoiler alert, it was the M3 Air.

Colnago just announced an all-new V5Rs. Yes — it is the bike everyone speculated Tadej Pogačar was riding recently. No— it wasn’t under the UAE Emirates-XRG team for Pogačars’ second-place finish at Paris Roubaix over the weekend. That was the V4Rs, in its last poetic journey under Pogačar.

There aren’t too many flattop chain options. Honestly, I think SRAM is the only one with the pure flat top edition, which they developed for their 12-speed road groups. Yes, you can use the KMC X12 to replace a current flattop setup, but if you want the smooth look, you’ll have to buy a SRAM chain. However, it appears that KMC has a SRAM-compatible flattop design in the works, and it looks to be dropping soon.
