NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A new report is questioning actions inside the Davidson County District Attorney’s Office. The Tennessee Comptroller’s Office and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) are looking into allegations of government employees surveilling and monitoring audio and video recordings of criminal defense attorneys without their consent. The report says office employees, other building tenants, and visitors were also recorded without knowing.

In July, Jack Gear was riding on the back of a jet ski on Old Hickory Lake when he was hit by another jet ski. The 10-year-old boy did not survive his injuries. Now, his parents are suing the Boy Scouts for wrongful death, alleging negligence and reckless conduct. Court documents obtained by FOX 17 News claim Jack was camping at Boxwell Reservation when the collision occurred. The family says both jet skis involved in the water accident were owned by the Boy Scouts and operated by their staff.
