It's official. The Cleveland Cavaliers knew that either Jordan Ott or Johnnie Bryant would become the next coach of the Suns, as both had advanced to the final round. On Wednesday, Phoenix made the hiring official, selecting Ott as the team's new head coach. Ott (and Bryant) joined Kenny Atkinson's staff last year. The 40-year-old previously spent time as an assistant with the Lakers and Nets. The Suns wanted a first-time head coach, and they decided to go with Ott.

The Michigan State trend continues. It's official: Jordan Ott is the Phoenix Suns' next head coach, ending a nearly two-month search. He and Johnnie Bryant, both Cavaliers' assistants, were the finalists for the position, with Ott winning out. Phoenix promoted Brian Gregory to GM a few weeks after its season ended, although he had only one year of front office experience. Gregory was an assistant on Tom Izzo's staff when Ishbia was a walk-on at Michigan State.

Another big that the Warriors know well also drew pre-deadline interest from several teams, and he'll be an unrestricted free agent this summer. Golden State signed Chris Boucher after he went undrafted in 2017.
