The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners, which governs Los Angeles World Airports, recently recommended approval of a lease sought by Bonseph Helinet, LCC.

By JOSE HERRERACity News ServiceEight months after former Chief of Police Michel Moore retired, on Friday, Nov. 8, the Los Angeles City Council will consider the appointment of Jim McDonnell as the 59th leader of the Los Angeles Police Department — the third largest law enforcement agency in the nation. Mayor Karen Bass nominated McDonnell to take on the role in October, following a nationwide search.

A proposal to modernize and expand the Television City complex in the Fairfax District cleared a major hurdle today, as the city's Planning Commission unanimously approved the $1.2 billion plan. The project will next be heard by the council's Planning and Land Use Management committee before going to the full Los Angeles City Council.
