SHERIDAN — Krinkee Park is now a public park. The park, located along West 12th Street just outside the Sheridan Police Department, was created to honor SPD Sgt. Nevada Krinkee who was killed in the line of duty in February 2024. With cherry trees, grass and a couple of benches, the park’s simplicity will honor Krinkee. kAm“w6 5:5?’E H2?E 2?JE9:?8 7=2D9J[ D@ :E’== 36 D>2== — 2 4@FA=6 36?496D 2?5 2 A=246 7@C A6@A=6 E@ C67=64E[” z@=E:D<2 E@=5 %96 $96C:52? !C6DD :?

SHERIDAN — Kindergarten through 12th grade teacher recruitment and retention is among the Wyoming Legislature’s Joint Education Committee’s priority topics for its interim work. Wyoming Department of Education Chief of Staff Dicky Shanor said Wyoming has more than 15 subjects with a “critical shortage.” He explained a critical shortage occurs when 5% or more of the teachers in a subject area are teaching without a full Professional Teaching Standards Board license.
