An Oakland County, Michigan, mother is accused of leaving a loaded gun in her 3-year-old's backpack when she dropped her child off at a daycare center. Prosecutors say on May 14, Kelly Reid, 34, of West Bloomfield, dropped off her child at a center in Royal Oak and handed staff a backpack that was supposed to contain her child's snack. When a staff member opened the backpack, they reportedly found a loaded gun.

A Michigan man accused of attempting to provide material support to ISIS and having a destructive device has been found guilty by a federal jury. Aws Mohammed Naser, 37, formerly of Westland, was convicted Tuesday after a five-week trial. A jury found Naser guilty of attempting to provide material support to ISIS and being a felon in possession of a destructive device.

A Warren man is facing second-degree murder charges and is accused of killing another man who was found with a large cut across his neck. Police and EMS personnel responded to a Warren home late on May 31 and found Travis James Holdburg, 22, standing in the driveway. When first responders entered the home, they found a dead man with multiple injuries and a large cut across his neck, Macomb County prosecutors say.

Members of a Michigan lottery club plan to live a debt-free life after winning $793,304 on a 5 Win Lucky Clover Fast Cash jackpot from the Michigan Lottery. The Wayne County lottery club purchased its winning ticket at Talley's Log Cabin Bar, located at 2981 Kneeland Street in Lewiston. A Michigan State Police dog led troopers on a five-mile trek to track down a home invasion suspect in northern Michigan. Troopers from the MSP Traverse City Post responded to a home invasion report in Blair Township around 8 a.m. on June 3. The homeowner told police that he saw a woman in his driveway through his Ring doorbell, according to police. The homeowner saw the woman enter his home, remove items and then leave.
