An Oceana County woman won $1 million on a Michigan Lottery ticket she nearly forgot she bought. The 63-year-old woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought her winning Millionaire Raffle ticket on the Michigan Lottery's website. "I won $100 playing an online game, so I decided to use some of my winnings to purchase Powerball and Mega Millions tickets online," said the player. "When I was purchasing those tickets, I saw the Millionaire Raffle game and thought, 'Why not?' and purchased one ticket.

Michigan gas prices dropped by 15 cents since last week, according to AAA. Michiganders are paying an average of $3.06 per gallon for regular unleaded fuel, which is 6 cents less than this time last month and 59 cents less than this time a year ago. A 15-gallon tank of gas costs motorists about $45, around $12 less than the highest price drivers paid in July 2024. In Metro Detroit, motorists are paying about $3.09 per gallon, which is 8 cents less than last week and 51 cents less than last year.

A Southfield man is facing several felony charges after police say he sexually assaulted two young children. Lawrence Edward Miles, 69, is charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.   Southfield Police Chief Elvin Barren said an investigation into Miles began on May 5, when the parents reported the sexual assault of their children, a boy and a girl under the age of 10.
