The special collaborative dinner will be helmed by Solaire’s own Alfred Santiago, and Kása Palma’s Aaron Isip. Both chefs have received training from Michelin-starred restaurants. Mr. Santiago spent time at Singapore’s Burnt Ends, rated No. 15 at Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants and No. 68 worldwide.

Austria’s contributions to cuisine are hard to ignore: a lot of famous French pastries, collectively called Viennoserie, take the category’s name from Austria’s capital; not to mention popularizing coffee culture in Europe. Across our hotel at the Neuer Markt square (the new market, but it had been so since the Middle Ages) stood the shop of A.E. Köchert, jewelers to the Habsburgs, the former Imperial dynasty of Austria (and once, the Holy Roman Empire). Their windows displayed diamond tiaras, while street performers nearby sang arias, and waltzed with their audience.

ELIZABETH, Indiana — An Ohio family claims a woman was served excessive amounts of alcohol prior to her death at Caesar’s Southern Indiana earlier this year. Michelle Kelley, of Westerville, Ohio, died on March 28 while staying at the hotel and casino. The lawsuit, filed last Tuesday on behalf of her estate and husband Jason Kelley, said Kelley was served at least 17 alcoholic drinks despite allegedly being visibly intoxicated.
