    St. Paul’s baseball announced a sudden coaching move on April 17 as the Wolves elevated associate head coach Mike Scanlon to the head spot before Thursday’s first-round playoff series.     The 2025 LHSAA baseball playoff brackets are out, and St. Tammany Parish is well-represented. Three teams — Northshore, Hannan and Pope John Paul II — earned byes, while four teams will host first-round series this week. The state championships are set for May 13-17 at McMurry Park in Sulphur. Below is the full breakdown of the brackets. Northshore (29-5) gets a first-round bye as the eighth seed.

The basketball coaching carousel continues to spin in St. Tammany Parish this week. Monty Fontenot will take over at St. Paul's after a quarterfinal run at Covington last season. Meanwhile at PJP II, assistant coach Zachary Pisciotta will take over for the retiring Jay Carlin.
