PABLO — With Powwow season in full swing the 2023 Summer Quarterly was kept short focusing on a few key issues. Members of the audience continually expressed their concern for both the growing homeless population and the increasing drug problems on the Flathead Reservation but many successes were also celebrated. Elders Speak Elder and senior translator for the Séliš-Ql̓ispe Culture Comittee Shirley Trahan opened the floor with an issue that she said is very close to her heart.
