Portland effectively losing their two best attackers from last year (Evander gone, JRod injured) is season-destroying stuff. They’ve banked a bunch of points but even harder to see them competing with the best of MLS for the rest of the year.

🟢🇺🇾 Sources: Portland Timbers forward Jonathan Rodriguez is planned to get season-ending knee surgery in the coming weeks. Portland would put him on the season ending injured list & add attacking DP to replace him this summer. Should be active window. https://t.co/QApjBAbHdS

Good on LAFC for getting a deal done in the mini pre-Club World Cup transfer window. Taking full advantage of their edge over the 27 MLS clubs who can't add players for another six weeks when the secondary transfer window opens (and who should be frustrated they can't do so).

🇳🇱 Sources: LAFC have signed Dutch winger Javairô Dilrosun on loan from Club America Deal done in pre-Club World Cup window, which is now closed. The first, & maybe only, signing for MLS club in window. Dilrosun, 26, joined CA for reported $5m fee. https://t.co/pMte8zIuU1
