May 25—COLUMBIA FALLS — The Frenchtown Broncs set the tone in game one against Polson on Saturday and followed that up with another victory over the Lady Pirates in the championship game to win the State A softball tournament. Frenchtown's Ryan Lucier was too much to handle. She held the Lady Pirates to just one hit with 12 strikeouts en route to their 10-0 win in the day's first game. and followed that up with two home runs and seven RBIs in the Broncs' 14-3 championship game victory.

May 20—Fireworks filled the sky at Glacier Bank Park after the season opener for the Glacier Range Riders, but it was Drew Sims who provided the show, sending a raucous crowd home happy. Tied 5-5 in the bottom of the ninth, TJ Clarkson laced an opposite field double to get the winning run in scoring position before Sims also went the other way for a base hit, scoring Clarkson for the walk-off win, 6-5 over the Great Falls Voyagers.
