MLB All-Star right-handed pitcher Paul Skenes announced that he will compete for Team USA in the 2026 World Baseball Classic on Tuesday. The Pittsburgh Pirates man only made his debut in the big leagues a year ago, but has soon become one of the elite talents in MLB, making 32 starts with an earned run average (ERA) of just 2.16, whilst striking out 223 batters. Skenes, 22, will join up with Aaron Judge in the Classic next spring in what is already shaping up to be a potent lineup for the US.
