For the first time in more than 85 years, the NFL Draft is going to be headed to Washington, D.C. During an event at the White House on Monday, President Donald Trump announced that the District of Columbia will host the 2027 draft. That's the earliest that the draft could be held in D.C. because the NFL has already tabbed Pittsburgh as the host city for the 2026 NFL Draft. The Commanders had been targeting the 2027 draft for over a year and their dream is now going to be become a reality.

Seemingly every "way-too-early" 2026 NFL mock draft (including our own) has Texans quarterback Arch Manning penciled in as the No. 1 overall pick. Manning, after all, is the grandson of a former No. 2 overall pick and the nephew of two former No. 1 overall picks, (and Super Bowl MVPs, to boot). Adding to the hoopla is Manning's success when he was on the field during his first two years with the Longhorns.

UK is still exploring depth at the tight end position. Kentucky is hosting UCF tight end transfer Elijah Brown (6-foot-6, 250). Brown has two years to play two seasons. Before joining the Knights in January, Brown had spent a year at Alabama and, more recently, two seasons with Florida Atlantic. Tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow’s familiarity with the prospect goes back to his time at Wayne High School in Dayton, Ohio.

Alabama RB schedules official visit to KentuckyUK has one commitment in the 2026 recruiting class. Hewitt-Trussville (Ala.) running back Delvecchio Alston (6-foot, 200) has three official visits scheduled: Minnesota (May 30), Memphis (June 6) and Kentucky (June 13). Running backs coach Jay Boulware has been leading the charge for the Wildcats. The two parties have been in contact for a few weeks, but an offer was not presented until Tuesday of this week.
