    WHITEWATER, Wis. — The large schools dominated the smaller schools in Thursday’s Rock Valley Conference Cross Country Meet, held at the UW-Whitewater campus under brilliant sunshine and seasonably warm temperatures. In the boys race, the top local finisher was junior Thomas Peters from Turner, who placed 17th. His time of 18:48 clocked him one second in front of senior Oliver Melson from Clinton, who led his flu-ravaged squad with an 18th-place finish.
