Credit: Microsoft (via PCMag) Microsoft is letting users change where on-screen indicators for volume, brightness, airplane mode, and virtual desktops appear. This update is now available in the latest Dev Channel version of Windows 11, as reported by our colleagues at PCMag. Previously, these indicators were fixed at the bottom center of the screen. Users will be able to put these indicators at the top center, top left of the display, or keep them at the bottom center.

It needed water cooling to prevent serious overheating, but the result is impressive, with the extra performance pushing the 5090 beyond even the capabilities of the professional RTX Pro 6000, which has more CUDA cores and four times the memory.

In what seems to be a shot across the bow to TSMC, Samsung is planning to start production on its 2nm process in the US as soon as January or February 2026. That would make Samsung the first company to hit the 2nm mark in the US and, presumably, it would generate a lot of publicity and excitement around Samsung’s capabilities.

Credit: Perplexity Perplexity is planning to open its AI-powered Comet browser to Windows users, according to CEO Aravind Srinivas. Srinivas posted on X that the Windows version of Comet is ready, and invites have already been sent to early testers. The company is also working on an Android version, saying progress is ahead of schedule. Tweet (opens in a new tab) Comet was first launched in May as a beta for Mac users with Apple Silicon. The browser adds AI tools directly into web browsing.
