The Cardinals appear to be sellers this offseason, and they have a lot of valuable pieces to move. The St. Louis Cardinals are facing the reality of self-proclaimed "reset" this offseason. This may end up being the most interesting winter this organization has seen in decades due to the wide range of moves we could see them make. I can't remember an offseason where the Cardinals were sellers on the trade market.

This transition plan has the potential to set up Chaim Bloom for success in St. Louis, but practically and in the eyes of the public. While my preference would be for the St. Louis Cardinals to go ahead and pass the reigns of the franchise over to Chaim Bloom, there is a silver lining to this awkward gap year - John Mozeliak remaining the face of baseball operations for 2025 could shield Bloom from unfair criticism that may be coming.

The St. Louis Cardinals held their end-of-season press conference this afternoon with the purpose of addressing the media and fanbase regarding the changes they are making to the organization. While I am sure there will be a wide range of reactions to what they shared, I wanted to share the notes I jotted down during the press conference of what they laid out to the fanbase.
