You’re drinking your favorite soda or just trying to get your 8 glasses of water in, and all of a sudden, it’s empty. Funny thing is, you don’t recall it being empty beforehand. Now, that would be kind of strange, wouldn’t it? You obviously can’t drink from an empty cup. I’m pretty forgetful with my ADHD, and always zooming around these days it seems. But I do love my favorite drinks. Currently, for the past couple months, it’s been a VERY large glass of ice water as my hyperfixation.

I would think that way for most of the collegiate level QB’s. It’s a tough place to walk into as the enemy.

Don’t be deceived. Michigan plays football a lot like when you’re first learning to drive. Slow on the gas, taking turns cautiously, making sure the seat and mirrors are positioned just right before putting the car into drive. And as the game goes on, it all changes. They get more comfortable, they speed up a little, maybe throw on their favorite playlist, and they begin to cruise. They realize they’re in control, they’re in the driver’s seat, and they can take the car wherever they want to go.

If you listen close enough you can hear TTUN fans chattering on and on about how McCord and the Buckeyes haven’t played anybody, and that McCord has been “Mid” *peers over at Jace*They’re starting to get a little nervous. Week after week, the Buckeyes have grown. Offensively they are starting to click. McCord and Harrison Jr have established a connection that looks dangerous. Defensively they look as impressive as ever.

Michigan came out on Saturday night under the lights in an electric atmosphere and treated the Michigan faithful to the most mid performance I’ve seen from them in a long time. McCarthy had three picks, they had trouble handling kickoffs, and even though they never really felt in danger of losing this game, being up 14-6 at half against a team as bad as Bowling Green is something…They survived, and now it’s a new week and a new focus.

Michigan might be the most complete team in the country. The offense is operating at an entirely new level. McCarthy is living up to every bit of off-season hype. Corum hasn’t lost a step, rattling off three TDs against UNLV. Roman Wilson has more TDs (5) in two games than he had all last year (4). The defense has looks downright feisty. The secondary has given up nothing. The pass rush got home five times on Saturday.

This is how Ryan Day has been handling the supposed QB “Battle” (imagine me rolling my eyes as you say that)Open your eyes Ryan, please, we’re all begging you. McCord is QB 1, if you’ve watched a single second of Ohio State football or have a pulse at all, you’d agree. Devin Brown has done nothing to separate himself but for some reason Ryan Day has insisted on continuing to trot him out at the weirdest times this season. Notre Dame is knocking, and McCord needs to be the one to answer.

These were my least favorite pirates to watch since the 5th Pirates of the Caribbean movie came out in 2017 (Curse of the Black Pearl is the best in the series btw)The only pirating being done Saturday was me stealing my parents Peacock login info just so I could watch the game itself. Oof. What a game. McCarthy looked sharp, 26/30 298 yards and three scores is a heck of a game. But it’s East Carolina. They lost their best WR, RB, and QB. This isn’t the same team as last year that went 8-5.

Last week, I wrote that Kyle McCord being “mid” was probably an overreaction. Boy, was I wrong. First game of the year? Sure. But let’s not forget that it’s the first game of the year against Indiana. Who, in the most technical of terms, is what experts call “butt.”At the end of the day, it’s not about having kinks to work out. It’s only getting the ball to MHJ twice. It’s only finding Egbuka three times. And while Cade Stover had a nice game, most of that was one chunk play.

You don’t just replace a player like that…unless you’re Ohio State.
