Heathrow has warned that travellers face “significant disruption” for days after a fire at an electricity substation caused the airport to shut down. Counter-terrorism police have been drafted in to investigate the blaze that has thrown airline schedules around the world into disarray and forced the cancellation of hundreds of flights. On Friday afternoon, a spokesperson for Heathrow said the airport had “no clarity” on when operations would return to normal.
