    NEW BETHLEHEM – The Redbank Valley Chamber of Commerce board of directors continues to grow with the appointment of two new members this week. At their April 21 meeting, the chamber appointed Shannon Polka and Rachel Westover, both employees of the Charles Leach Agency in New Bethlehem. The appointments came following the resignation of board member Joe Belfield, who had only served on the chamber board for a short time. “We’re getting close to a full board,” chamber president John Gerow said.

    RIMERSBURG –Twenty-six girls took part in an April 13 pageant at the Rimersburg Community Building. Held by Balanced Buddha Gives Back, a nonprofit organization that supports local youth, the pageant was originally offered to Union School District students only. However, due to low participation, it was opened to students in any school district in grades kindergarten to 12th grade.

    RIMERSBURG – The Rimersburg Rod and Gun Club is teaming up again this year with the Southern Clarion Police Association for the Annual Fish for Fun/Cops & Bobbers event for children 12 years of age and younger on May 4. The event will be held in the same place as last year, at the Rimersburg Rod and Gun Club’s fishing pond, located at 442 Rod and Gun Club Road, Rimersburg. It will be held on Sunday, May 4.
