I suppose the decision to keep the word “cash,” in the third couplet, which always felt like the organic choice in that spot, though it wasn’t clear to me at first whether it would work in concert with the rest of the poem’s pitch (we open with the eternal, for example, and then end with the interstellar scale of the last stanza).

There is no doubt lots of people consider modern music... horrid. I am in this camp as most of the songs I hear on the radio use the same beats, and mention the same topics and length; it is as if music is no longer inspiring and the poor horse is being beaten into glue.
