Another former South Carolina basketball player has found a new home. Zachary Davis announced Thursday that he is transferring to Memphis to play for coach Penny Hardaway. He will have one year of eligibility left. Davis visited the Tigers last weekend. “I’m comin M town,” Davis wrote on his Instagram post. Hardaway, the four-time NBA All-Star, has led Memphis to three NCAA appearances in his four seasons.

Collin Murray-Boyles is headed to the NBA Draft. The South Carolina forward announced Tuesday that he plans to enter the NBA. Murray-Boyles just finished his second season with the Gamecocks and has two years of college eligibility left. The NBA Draft Combine is May 11-18. Players have until June 15 at 5 p.m. to announce if they are staying in the NBA Draft, which is set for June 25-26. “South Carolina will always be home,” Murray-Boyles wrote on Instagram.

The S.C. High School League’s state championship basketball games are returning to Columbia. The league’s executive committee voted Wednesday in favor of bringing the games back to Colonial Life Arena for the first time since 2020. Negotiations to bring the games back to South Carolina’s capital city have been ongoing between the SCHSL, Colonial Life Arena and the University South Carolina. The championships will return to the home of the USC Gamecocks starting with the 2025-26 high school season.
