BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A pistol, ammunition and three magazines were recovered from Delano homes after an investigation into a school shooting threat. Alleged charges against 10 and 11-year-old suspects have been filed with the Kern County Probation Department Youth Services Division after a school shooting threat was placed at Morningside Elementary School on March 21.

Passenger hospitalized after vehicle collides with rock wall on Highway 178

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A Toyota sedan wreck on Highway 178 early Wednesday morning left the front end of the car with major damage. At about 2:33 a.m., a single vehicle wrecked in the eastbound lanes of Highway 178, crashing into the rocks, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information page. The Kern County Fire Department and Hall Ambulance responded to the scene. Video of the scene shows a passenger being pulled from the vehicle after firefighters used the jaws of life.
