New plans have been revealed for a £25 million project to transform a large office complex that previously housed one of Nottingham's biggest firms. Developer ALB Group has asked Nottingham City Council for permission to convert Riverleen House, which major city employer Experian used to occupy, into nearly 120 new apartments. The multi-million pound project would see the sizable building, which is located on Electric Avenue off Queen's Drive, turned into 118 new homes.

A man was taken to hospital after he was injured in a suspected hit-and-run in a Nottinghamshire town, prompting a police investigation and call for witnesses to come forward. The man was struck by a car at about 2.30am on Sunday, June 15 in Eastgate, Worksop. The victim, in his 30s, was treated in hospital for his injuries. A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, Nottinghamshire Police said.

Police have made a key breakthrough in a 35-year search to find a Nottinghamshire miner's killer. During the early hours of Monday, February 19, 1990, Kevin Childerley, 30, and wife Denise, 32, were asleep at their home in Sherwood Street, Mansfield Woodhouse, when they were attacked. Mr Childerley died at the scene but, despite being seriously hurt, his wife survived. The attack happened while their two young children were also in the home asleep.
