The search for a suspect led to a lockdown at Montclair High School May 7, police said. Montclair police assisted the Essex County Sheriff's Office in an attempted warrant arrest on Central Avenue, according to Montclair Lt. Terence Turner. The suspect ran but was eventually found in a yard on Midland Avenue before he turned himself in, Turner stated. The lockdown was then lifted by 11:30 a.m., according to Turner and a message sent to Montclair parents.
