The Rookie Season 7, Episode 13, "Three Billboards," finally highlights the show's newest recruit, Miles Penn, with an episode tying into his past as a promising football player. Meanwhile, as John Nolan and Bailey Nune try to adopt, billboards besmirching Nolan's reputation show up around Los Angeles. A seemingly random car bombing in the beginning of the story ties neatly into the larger plotline, which ends with Penn truly feeling like one of the team.

When Warner Bros. Discovery announced James Gunn and Peter Safran as co-CEOs of DC Studios, the fan community was divided. Some fans were eager for the new DC Universe, either for a change in tone or, at least, a cohesive vision. Others were incensed that the DC Extended Universe ended unceremoniously. From raging against Gunn on social media to the intriguing idea of selling the Snyderverse to Netflix, they aren't ready to let this universe go.

Frank Castle returned to Daredevil: Born Again in its Season 1 finale, and the corrupt Punisher fanboys in the Vigilante Task Force learned a hard lesson about meeting their heroes.Throughout the season, the series built up expectations this confrontation exceeded, and Frank is as raw and human as he's ever been. One key detail left to subtext is how it shapes Frank's reaction to corrupt cops co-opting his symbol and perverting his mission.

There is no film character quite like Indiana Jones, despite cinema before and after being filled with swashbuckling adventurers. One reason why the character stands apart is the actor, Harrison Ford, who imbued the role with charm, humor and determination not always found on the page. Like any kid of my generation, both Ford and Indiana Jones occupy a special place in my heart as pop culture fixtures.

Even before writing about entertainment full-time, I always hunted for spoilers about upcoming shows and films. The surprise of discovery when watching something can be fulfilling, but curiosity often gets the better of me. Besides, nothing I've learned has ever "ruined" a story for me, and sometimes it helps me appreciate what we get even more.
