The Bucs took a chance on the smallest player in the NFL Draft when they drafted Tez Johnson in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft. At just 5-foot-10, 154 pounds, the former Oregon Duck may lack for size, but he does not lack for talent. That was evident with his dominant performance at the Senior Bowl where Johnson was just about unguardable in Mobile, Ala.

The 2025 NFL Draft was billed as deep at defensive tackle. And while the Bucs didn’t technically take a defensive tackle, they addressed the position in a very Tampa Bay way. Elijah Roberts was Dane Brugler’s 23rd-ranked edge defender in his annual “The Beast” writeup.

David Walker wasn’t the edge rusher many were talking about pre-draft. But that doesn’t mean now that Walker has been drafted that can’t be an effective part of an improved Bucs pass rush. MeasurablesDavid Walker is one of the more unique body types you will find for an NFL edge rusher. Size is an outlier as well. 263 at under 6’1 is funky.

In a throwback to 2018, when the Bucs selected both M.J. Stewart and Carlton Davis III on day two of the draft, Tampa Bay doubled up at cornerback in the second and third round of the 2025 NFL Draft. After taking Notre Dame corner Benjamin Morrison, the team selected Jacob Parrish out of Kansas State in the third round. Parrish is a small, yet athletic player with just three years of experience at the position.

He’s so much fun to watch. I love him.

The Jonas Sanker tape is funny, because it's mostly just him dealing with one teammate's mistake after another, cleaning up the mess constantly, then trying to communicate the issue between plays lol. Glue guy.

Looked at potential trade compensation for players rumored to be on the trade block. https://t.co/WUzCWPKnV1

Y’all, I started a new job this week plus getting down to crunch time on draft prep/Bucs content/contract content etc. I’m Ray for your boy on Sunday - I’ll be running on pure adrenaline and caffeine.
