    A total of 1,152 devotees sought medical assistance during the procession of the image of Jesus Nazareno on Good Friday, according to the Quiapo Church. In a statement, Quiapo Church rector and parish priest Rev. Fr. Ramon Jade Licuanan said that nine were hospitalized and three of them were in severe condition. “Mayroon pong 1,152 medical cases; siyam po rito ang dinala sa ibat-ibang ospital ng DOH sa Maynila. Base po sa ulat, tatlo ang nasa malubhang kalagayan,” he said.

    A total of 70,531 passengers were monitored at different seaports across the country on the morning of Good Friday, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported. The PCG said 35,930 outbound passengers and 34,601 inbound passengers were recorded from 6 a.m. to 12 noon. on Friday. A total of 4,822 frontline personnel were deployed in 16 PCG districts, who inspected 416 vessels and 1,845 motorized outriggers.

    The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Good Friday said it has recorded a total of 28 cases of drowning, fire, and vehicular accidents amid the observance of Holy Week so far. In a statement, the PNP said 16 of these cases were drowning incidents in different regions and two vehicular accidents in Metro Manila and Cagayan Valley. Three fire incidents were reported in Metro Manila, Eastern Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula as well as one case of arson in Negros Island Region.

    Many devotees flocked as Quiapo Church conducted a procession of the image of Jesus Nazareno in Manila in observance of Good Friday. Quiapo Church said the Good Friday procession started around 12 midnight. The Manila Police District (MPD) said that while no untoward incidents have been reported so far, some devotees sought medical assistance after suffering from headache, hypertension, dizziness, among others.
