President Donald Trump is scheduled Monday to tour the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington and preside over its board meeting. The move is part of Trump’s takeover of the storied arts institution, which has included a purge of leadership and his installation as chairman of the board. “We have to straighten it out,” Trump told reporters Sunday on Air Force One. But as the 83-year-old peered at her son in the pale glow of her flashlight, she insisted that she was not afraid of the Eaton Fire. She had no reason to be, Erliene said. The brushfire that broke out four hours earlier had started more than two miles away. Authorities hadn’t yet issued an evacuation warning for her neighborhood.
