    The International Surfing Association (ISA) and Saint Lucia Surfing Association announced Monday that the Caribbean island will become. the ISA’s 117th National Federation Member. The announcement clears the way for Saint Lucia to send its very first team to this year’s ISA World Junior Surfing Championships, which currently don’t have a set date or location, according to the ISA’s 2025 competition calendar.

    If you dropped by the Wedge Tuesday afternoon you might have thought you’d walked up on a scene from Jaws. The actual scene: a handful of surfers and bodyboarders racing out of the water like they were all being chased by a hungry predator…or an agro local seal. Videographer Robert Mansfield, aka @dingosaidso was on the beach shooting the whole thing. And it wasn’t just a one-off moment where everybody scampered to shore and then got back to life as usual when they thought the coast was clear.

The incident occurred in the backcountry of the Tenmile Range when a group of skiers made their way down a run known as K Chute. “Skier 1 stopped when the terrain steepened and radioed the group to make a plan.
