Winter storm warning issued for much of Kentuckiana

The National Weather Service office in Louisville has issued a Winter Storm Warning for most of our area until Saturday morning. Everyone shaded in the dark blue is covered by this new warning. Widespread snow develops Friday morning and becomes steady in the afternoon and evening. The WDRB weather team expects much of Kentuckiana to pick up 2"-5" of snow.

A winter storm watch has been issued for our area and it is in effect from early Friday morning through early Saturday morning. Widespread snow develops Friday and becomes steady in the afternoon and evening. The WDRB weather team expects plenty of snow in areas that aren't included in the watch as well. As of now amounts around 4" are possible.

The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH until 4 p.m. EDT on Thursday, March 14 for the following counties in southern Indiana: Dubois, Lawrence, Jackson, Jennings, Orange, Washington, Scott, Jefferson. The primary severe weather hazards include damaging straight-line wind and hail. The WDRB weather team will keep a close eye on the situation this afternoon.
