Thousands of commuters across the DMV are preparing to join the annual free bike fest, featuring over 100 pit stops in Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland. For the first time, the event has been moved to Thursday instead of the traditional Friday. “So many commuters work from home on Friday,” Morgan Babcock, the executive director of Carlyle Council, told The Zebra.

ALEXANDRIA, VA-When the news hit two weeks ago that Big Wheel Bikes is closing its Prince Street location, there was an outpouring of sadness from the bicycling community. It has been at 2 Prince St. since 1971. The Zebra reported that the property’s owner submitted paperwork to the city’s Board of Architectural Review to completely renovate the building into a restaurant with a rooftop deck and outdoor seating.
