In a security alert, Microsft warned users how easy it is for hackers to distribute malware using their Outlook email client. Microsoft has already released a patch for the CVE-2025-21298 user-after-free vulnerability and urges users to apply it immediately. Microsoft gave the vulnerability a severity score of 9.8 (critical) since it uses freed memory and corrupts valid data, or parcels out malware remotely.

The latest Windows 10 update, version KB5048239, isn’t just failing to install — it’s actually updating successfully over and over again. This is the update that Microsoft first released in November 2024 on 21H2 and 22H2. As TechRadar reports, the software giant is rereleasing it again this month. This installation loop affects various users and is part of Microsoft’s patching for January 2025.

Microsoft is now establishing file-sharing support between iPhones and its Windows 11 or Windows 10 PCs. Users will be able to connect the devices with the brand’s Phone Link app and Link to Windows app to enable the function. Currently, the feature is available to Windows Insiders users for testing purposes. Microsoft has not shared other details about the iPhone to Windows file-sharing feature, just installation instructions.
