    Now that the end of the fall semester approaches, finals are here. Allow the host, Julez DeShetler, and Echo mascot, Scoop, take your mind off all the stress and chaos during this week. From Saturday Dec. 7 to Friday, Dec. 13 DeShelter walks listeners through events going on around and on EMU campus before classes end and the University closes. This will be the last episode of the semester. Don't worry, the podcast will be back and better in 2025.

    From a young age, Chicago rapper Eric Allen, who goes by the stage name Lil Eazzyy, never really had a place to call home. House to house and city to city, Eazzyy’s life was always on the move. Even when his parents split around his preteen years, he bounced back and forth between his mom’s and dad’s houses. Later in life, taking on the bigger, busier cities, Eazzyy went from Chicago to L.A. to Atlanta and is currently back in Chicago.

Despite this episode covering less events due to the short week of classes for Thanksgiving break, podcast host Julez DeShetler introduced a new segment called The Final Scoop. In last week’s episode DeShetler promised to make this episode special someway, somehow. Doing just that, she has implemented a segment at the end of upcoming episodes asking the audience questions.

    On Tuesday, Nov. 5, Eastern Votes hosted a nonpartisan Election Night Watch Party at the Lake House on campus from 7-11 p.m. sponsored by Engage@emu. At the event students were provided free pizza, wings, snacks and beverages. In addition to the games and coloring activities present to help ease those experiencing an overwhelming amount of stress. Students who attended the event are eligible to receive Learning Beyond the Classroom category three credit.
