Last season, Olivia Kerstetter narrowly missed qualifying for the CrossFit Games. She finished in ninth place at the 2024 West Coast Classic – the North American West Semifinal – but only the top eight women received tickets to the Games. Chris Ibarra, Kerstetter’s training partner, also competed at the event, finishing in sixth and earning his first trip to the Games. Eight weeks after her birth, on April 5, Powers competed at the 2025 Mayhem Classic, the first In-Person Qualifying Event of this season. The Buttery Bros. — Heber Cannon, Marston Sawyers, and Julian Marquez — spoke with Powers about her return to the competition floor in their behind-the-scenes look at the event. “I didn’t even realize I’d be in a qualifying position,” she said in the video.

Now we know why: On Friday, she took to YouTube to reveal that she re-tore her Achilles. Remind me: Migała sustained her original injury at the 2024 Rogue Invitational in Aberdeen, Scotland. In Event 6, entitled “The Duel IV,” athletes had to go up and over a gigantic hay bale, complete a 50-foot sled push, and finish with four power star steps.
