    Student Government Board’s office is filled with colorful Post-it notes with scribbles of positivity — “Have a nice day <3” scratched into a bright neon pink, “Happy birthday!!!” on a pale blue or even just a quick portrait on the whiteboard. They glow against the beige walls of the eighth floor of the William Pitt Union, making the space look less like an administrative office and more likea room defined by community and connection.

    Pitt football had tons of change in the offseason. After its disastrous 3-9 season in 2023, change is necessary. The Panthers’ offensive change was imminent after they finished the 2023 season ranked 118 in points per game out of the 134 FBS teams. To Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi, the new offense run by offensive coordinator Kade Bell is a breath of fresh air, and not just because it’s a playbook he likes — it’s a system the players enjoy as well.

Pitt police took a report regarding the damage of a car side mirror while parked on Ruskin Avenue. Sunday, April 14 Pitt police assisted Pittsburgh police with an intoxicated male on the 3300 block of Forbes Avenue.

    According to Rita Williams-Garcia, memory is vital to the human experience. “Without memory, we cease to exist,” Williams-Garcia said. The School of Computing and Information partnered with the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh to host the Association for Library Service to Children’s 2024 Children’s Literature Lecture on Wednesday evening. The ALSC chooses one library each year to host this lecture, and Carnegie Library won the bid for 2024.

    I’m an opinionated person, so it’s natural that over my time at The Pitt News, I loved writing sports columns. I love writing, period, as I’ve written nearly 100 articles since joining The Pitt News in my sophomore year. But this is a column I’ve dreaded writing since I took the job as assistant sports editor. How could I possibly live up to the amazing senior columns written by my predecessors?
