Ryan Ramczyk, a three-time All-Pro right tackle with the New Orleans Saints, is officially retiring from the NFL. Ramczyk, who last played in 2023, announced his retirement Thursday on social media. The Sacramento Kings could be sticking with interim head coach Doug Christie even after moving on from former general manager Monte McNair. The Athletic's Sam Amick reported Thursday that Christie is "well-positioned to keep the job" after the Kings' postseason ended with a 120-106 play-in loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. Amick and Anthony Slater previously wrote for The Athletic that the Kings and McNair parted ways "less than an hour" after Wednesday's loss to the Mavericks.

Bronny James is helping the Los Angeles Lakers prepare for their first-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves by taking on the role of Anthony Edwards in practice. Lakers head coach JJ Redick said the Lakers had James and Shake Milton serve as the Edwards stand-ins on the scout team during Wednesday's practice, per The Athletic's Jovan Buha. The Timberwolves have meanwhile been using Joe Ingles to play the role of Luka Dončić in their own practices, according to Buha.

Alex Condon is keeping both the NBA and a third season with Florida open as options for next fall. Condon will declare for the 2025 NBA Draft while maintaining his NCAA eligibility, he told ESPN's Jonathan Givony on Wednesday. Condon averaged 10.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game as a sophomore starter to help lead the Gators to a national title. He told Givony that, should he choose to withdraw from the draft by the May 28 deadline, he will return to Florida for his junior season.

The rules prohibiting cell phones as the 2025 Masters Tournament led to a tense moment on Friday for ESPN insider Adam Schefter at Augusta National. Schefter said he was at hole No. 6 during Friday's second round when a 20-year-old fan came running up to him. "He goes, 'Did you hear about the humungous NFL trade?'"
