CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jacket volleyball team is in Guatemala on a mission trip using their shared passion for the sport as a platform to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. The group left on May 4 for its one week commitment. This is the team's second time heading to Guatemala, and according to head coach Greg Smith, presents an important opportunity to continue building relationships with those that they connected with during their previous trip.

Balancing classes, practices, and married life makes for a demanding schedule, but for two upperclassmen on the team, it is just part of the routine - and it is setting a powerful tone for the rest of the roster. "It [balancing everything] forces you to be organized and know where your priorities are, and I think other people see that on our team and are more likely to follow our example that way," said Mackenzie Lashuay, senior right fielder.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Diana Ivanikhina has thrived as a member of the Cedarville University women's tennis team since her freshman year. The junior biblical studies major is especially impressive noting the fact that she learned how to play the sport not from a coach or as a member of her high school team, like many of her teammates, but from YouTube. "I learned a lot from watching [YouTube] videos and watching very good international players who came to my country to compete," Diana said.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Timothy Davis was celebrated for his commitment to the Cedarville men's basketball program on Saturday, February 22, when the Yellow Jackets honored their seniors prior to their home victory against Ashland University. According to coach Rob Jones, who is in his first year as head coach, Davis made an immediate impact on Jones' experience. CEDARVILLE, Ohio - For the Cedarville track team, speed runs in the family - literally. Matt Schaeckenbach and older sister Caroline Schaeckenbach aren't just teammates; they're each other's biggest supporters. The Iowa City, Iowa natives will both be competing in the NCCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend at the Doden Field House. "He's one of my best friends and we do everything together," said Caroline, a multi-events graduate student.
