A chunk of those points came via the 2,290 three-pointers he made in the course of his 22-year career. That number’s good enough for ninth all-time—but he suspects it’d be even higher had his career started during a later iteration of the NBA. “I can’t imagine what my career numbers might look like if I was shooting eight threes a game,” Carter, 47, tells me in earnest.
