    FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — NDSU will be launching an affordable course materials program for its students starting in the fall. The program known as Bison Ready, will have a fixed semester rate of $325 for undergraduates and $55 for graduate students. Students will be automatically enrolled and will receive all digital materials, physical materials, and course kits with the program. It will be up to students to opt in or out of.

    BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR) — North Dakota House passes an amended bill for upgrades at Fargo National Cemetery. The bill provides a one-time credit of 3 million dollars by Bank of North Dakota to be accessed by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. The money will go to building a chapel, parking lot, and related infrastructure. Sponsors of the bill say the improvements are needed due to our extreme temperatures and the age of many attending funerals.

    MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Clay County Commissioners voted 4:1 to pass an ordinance to ban all vaping products. The new language they have added to the original tobacco ordinance states, “no person shall sell or offer for sale by in person or by delivery any electronic delivery devices.”This will account for vapes, vaporizers, vape pens, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes or e-cigs), e-cigars, and e-pipes.

    CASS COUNTY (KVRR) — The Cass County Highway Department has started its work on a list of projects from a five-year project plan. “It’ll be a busy year, we have a lot of road and bridge projects coming. We have a pretty big grading project out by Tower City in between Tower City and Buffalo on County Road 10 about an $8 million project,” said Kyle Litchy, Cass County Engineer. Contractors are currently working on replacing the bridge on County Road 10 near Tower City.
