Examining the basis for supportThe initial part of our study found a significant trust paradox, with individuals supporting the use of technologies at substantially higher rates (e.g., the difference of β = 0.155 and β = 0.117 for support and trust, respectively, for the association with police surveillance) than their levels of trust.
