It's been discovered in an outbuilding that is undergoing renovation. It was reported to the police at 11.13am on Tuesday (13th May 2025). The Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team is attending to make the device safe.

The body was found at around 1:30pm today (9th May) in the area of Durdar Road of the city. The death is not being treated as suspicious. The family of Barry Thomas, who was reported missing on 29th April, have been informed.

Hundreds of items have been given to a charity in the city after being following a special operationAuthor: Julie CastonPublished 8 hours agoHundreds of items worth more than £10,000 have been donated to a Peterborough charity. They were seized from the Wellington Car Boot sale during an operation involving police and other organisations. Normally they'd be destroyed - but officials decided to donate them after finding most were legitimate and safe to use.

International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln held a special serviceAuthor: Julie CastonPublished 9 hours agoLast updated 8 hours agoA number of events have been held across Lincolnshire to commemorate the end of the Second World War in Europe. It's 80 years since VE Day. At the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln a beacon will be lit this evening as part of a special dinner. Earlier there was an open air concert with music from the 1940's as well as a service of thanks.
