ELKHART — Concord High School was recognized as an endorsed Early College High School by the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) at the University of Indianapolis on Sept. 3. Early College High Schools are designed to bridge the gap between high school and college, especially for students who have traditionally been underrepresented in higher education. Graduates are more likely to go college and succeed when they get there.

Peterson was announced as the next Director of Music for Concord Community Schools following a unanimous vote of the Concord School Board Tuesday. He will assume his new role July 1.

ELKHART — A Concord teacher with a passion for serving students who are learning English as well as those needing additional academic support has been tapped to serve as the district’s first Director of English Learners and Academic Interventions. Jena Kennedy began her new role on July 1. In this position, Kennedy will collaborate with teachers, and building and district administrators to support the needs of students who are learning English, as well as those receiving academic interventions.
