Vacation home rentals are coming back to residential neighborhoods in South Lake Tahoe. On March 13, the El Dorado County Superior Court overturned a ban on short-term and vacation home rentals in the city of South Lake Tahoe that voters approved in 2018. And this week, the South Lake Tahoe City Council voted 4-1 not to appeal the court's decision. The City Council also approved an ordinance that puts a 45-day moratorium on issuing short-term rental permits.
