As a filmmaker, I always want individual stories to address global phenomena, but there’s just so much a single narrative can reveal. Each story is a slice of pie and I rarely get to indulge in the whole because I’m forced to move on to the next and the next and the next project. Last week I had the rare opportunity to screen three of our films in one program at the Newark Museum of Art.
