Peter Do announced his departure from the house of Helmut Lang last night, so we wanted to take a moment and look back at his career. Do joined Helmut Lang in March 2023, with the target to revamp the legendary house, which although has had a cult following since it was founded in 1986, it has struggled to maintain its cultural stature since Lang left in 2005. Do’s debut Helmut Lang collection back in September 2023 was highly anticipated, but received mixed reviews.

In today’s unexpected news, Valentino has just announced that its Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli will be leaving the brand. The designer joined the Maison in 1999, where he worked as an accessories designer alongside fellow fashion designer Maria Grazia Chiuri. The two of them eventually spearheaded the Red Valentino diffusion line in 2003, until being appointed co-Creative Directors in 2009, after Valentino Garavani announced his retirement in 2008.
