한.쿠바문화친선협회(ACCCA)는 7.6(토) 방한 중인 쿠바내 최대 한류 커뮤니티 '아르코르 (ArtCor)‘의 마르타 마리아(Marta Maria) 회장을 만찬에 초청하여 쿠바의 문화와 쿠바인들의 한류 사랑과 대한 이야기를 듣고 의견을 나누는 시간을 가졌다. 이날 행사는 마포구 소재 ‘쿠바 포차 하바나 24‘에 가진바, 협회장(두정수 전 파나마대사)을 비롯하여 한병길 중남미협회장, 조갑동 명예회장, 라종일 전 영국대사, 신숭철 전 주페루 대사, 강성주 전 도니미카대사, 본지 송나라 대표 등 30여 명이 참석하여 쿠바인들의 K-Pop, K-Drama 등 한류 콘텐츠 사랑 열풍에 대해 심도 있는 의견을 교환했다. 마르타 마리아 ArtCor 회장은 준비해온 시청각 자료를 활용하여 쿠바 내 한류 열풍과 향후 활동 계획 등에 대해 설명하면서 현지 분위기를 자세히 전했으며, 참석자들도 많은 관심과 함께 열띤 토론 시간을 가졌다.

Today, July 3, is The World Plastic Bag Free Day. Established in 2008 at the suggestion of a Spanish environmental group. The use of disposable plastic bags generates 23 million tons of carbon dioxide annually in Korea. 80% of the garbage thrown into the sea is plastic waste. Plastic bags are only used for one day.

7.1 오후 9시 27분 경 서울시청 부근 교차로에서 일방통행 길을 역주행한 차량이 인도로 돌진하여 13명의 사상자(9명 사망, 4명 부상)가 발생하는 대형 교통사고가 있었다. 소방당국은 구급대응 1단계를 발령하고, 소방차 37대, 소방대원 134명을 급파하여 사고 수습에 나섰다. 경찰 발표에 따르면 "70대 남성 운전자가 신호대기하는 보행자들을 친 것으로 보인다"며 "현재 상황 파악 중으로, 사상자가 늘어날 수도 있다"고 말했다. 사고를 일으킨 제네시스 차량의 운전자는 68세 남성으로 차량의 ‘급발진’을 주장하고 있다. 그러나 급발진 사고에 관한 전문가는 "사고 당시 영상을 보면 속도를 줄이며 정지하는 모습이 보이는데, 급발진은 급가속이 이뤄진 후 구조물을 추돌 또는 충돌하지 않는 이상 멈추지 않는다"며, "급발진 가능성은 제로에 가깝다"는 의견을 개진했다. 급발진 여부 조사는 최소 일주일 이상의 시간이 소요될 전망이다.
