BYD's first-selling model in South Korea is an electric compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) Atto 3. The South Korean government certification process for BYD's Seal, Dolphin, and Sealion 7 is underway. Starting with BYD, Chinese EV companies such as Zeely Group's premium EV brand Zeeker, Xiaomi, and Xiaofeng are reportedly rushing to enter South Korea.

    Hyundai Motor Co. said on Thursday its launch of an electric vehicle (EV) charging subscription service for vehicle owners in IndonesiaSubscribers will have access to 518 chargers at 228 EV charging stations operated by Hyundai Motor and its local partners throughout Indonesia. The service is available in three subscription tiers: 50, 100, and 250 kWh. If the subscribed capacity is exceeded, additional credits can be purchased.

    South Korea's HMM Co. said on Friday that it will introduce two 7,700 TEU (1 TEU equals one 20-foot container) container ships powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). This marks the first time a domestic shipping company has adopted LNG-powered container ships, a more eco-friendly fuel. The LNG-powered vessels, HMM Ocean and HMM Sky,- were named during a ceremony at HJ Shipbuilding & Construction Co. in Busan and are set to begin operations in January next year.
