2025 is going to be a big year for a lot of players on the Las Vegas Raiders. Some of them are looking for another contract, and some of them are trying to establish themselves in the league after having been in it for a few years. For the entire 2023 NFL Draft Class, they are going into their third season, and after this season, they are eligible for an extension, but that's if the Raiders think they deserve it. If not, they will play in their fourth year, and after that, enter free agency.

There may not be a younger cornerback room in the NFL than the one the Las Vegas Raiders are about to trot out onto the field in 2025. And if there is, the Raiders are certainly going to have the youngest of all the players who actually play meaningful snaps. You have Jakorian Bennett as the guy, and he's in his third year. Then there is Decamerion Richardson in his second year and Darien Porter as a rookie.

Undrafted in 2022, Goodrich joined the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad, playing four games in 2023 with five tackles but struggling in coverage. Waived by the Eagles in July 2024 and briefly claimed by the New York Giants, he joined the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions in February. Despite a leg injury, he started five of seven games, recording 17 tackles, six pass breakups, and three forced fumbles.

However, even so, this is the NFL, and depth in the cornerback room and in the secondary as a whole is extremely vital, especially when you play in the AFC West against teams that have good QBs and very good weapons. The Broncos are trying to take that next step. They went from a bottom-of-the-league type of team to a team that made the wild card. Now they have to strive for postseason wins. Getting depth is exactly how you do that because you truly never know what will happen during a season.

“I've never had a head coach really hands-on with the DBs, so it's different for me," safety Isaiah Pola-Mao said. "But I love it. And at the same time, Pete's legendary. Learning from him, he's seen it and he's done it, so he knows what it's supposed to look like. I'm just learning, listening, and trying to take it all in.” When you have a secondary that's as young as this one is for the Raiders, they need that. Carroll has developed some of the best secondary players in NFL history.

RT @PFF_College: Can’t wait to watch John Mateer at Oklahoma this season🍿 https://t.co/59BBhLUoti

It’s so crazy this is what society is now… and the fact that everyone is okay with it. Sad man, because you know if something like that happened in your city to people you know and love you would be butt hurt if someone made a meme about it.
